I still remember clearly how my uncles missed my grandma food when she happen to pass away in her fifties when I'm still a small boy. I didnt really taste much of my grandma cooking but i would say her maggie mee and roast chicken were quite solid..
Well ..wad I'm trying to say its that most of us take the things and the "service" around us for granted and often regret and feel remorseful whenever we lose it. I guess this is wad we call human nature and nick and gang would call it FAN JIAN..
One thing I miss most when my foot step on Shanghai is obviously my mum's fantastic cooking. Her roast chicken. hokkein mee, ma you chicken, potato soup, pig trotters, gu lau rou (gou lo yoke (canton) ), fried rice, chicken curry, vege rice, porkchops, lotus root soup, sweet corn soup, herbal chicken and many other more never fail to cross my mind when I'm struggling to think wads for today BRUNCH/DINNER.
Haizz.. So in order to overcome this missmymumcooking symdrome, I had been desperately seeking a resturant that can statisy my needs(sounds R(A) ).
Lo and Behold .. The Lord is good. After some kai xiao from my supervisor, I got to come across a fantastic resturant that sells soups. Super yummy soup that of course fall short of my mum's standard but it is the best subsitute that one can find.
Ladies and Gentleman, presenting to you 炖品之家。。。。 tell you I been there for 3 times already and everytime I go there my order will be :
Corn soup with pork ribs + kaou luck ( the one sh will buy for her mum in parsa malem)
Tell you whenever I eat this, I will be so High that I tot Im in singapore..
Damage? It's only freaking 13 yuan... (cheapest soup in the resturant the others i cant afford)
I think I will be getting my VIP card quite soon as the manager will ask me whenever I step into the resturant
